Epic is a over-used word these days but it was a perfect description for the grand opening of the “Gary Propper-Surf /Art/Entertainment” exhibit at the Florida Surf Museum. The museum overflowed with lengendary surfers, movers and shakers, hipsters, kids and locals alike. Many who showed up were friends of Gary who had not seen each other for decades. Many hugs were given and a few tears shed as memories were shared and old friendships renewed.

The rock and roll was loud, as it should be for an appropriate surf party, and there was plenty of food and beer to go around. The exhibit itself was a big success and showcased Gary’s art at it’s best. Video clips for the A/V part of the show included footage of Gary’s surfing that had never been seen before as well as slideshows highlighting Gary’s family and entertainment career.
